Exciting news: Sunday Open Gym at the High School has returned!
We're reaching out to you, our valued district parents, for assistance in making this a successful program. We need 3-4 enthusiastic volunteers to help supervise the open gym sessions at the Elementary School on Sunday afternoons. This is a great opportunity to engage with the community and support our children's activities.
Please remember that all volunteers will need to pass a background check. If you're interested in contributing to our children's growth and fun, please email Roz at rhowery@lpa.k12.mn.us.
Thank you for your support!

Two students, Anna Johnson (grade 8) and Bella Ward (grade 11) were recently awarded FFA jackets through the MN FFA Blue Jackets Bright Futures Program. See the attached press release for more information.

Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our Veterans Day program yesterday! Our band, choir, and speakers were all phenomenal, and did a lovely job highlighting our gratitude to all Veterans on this day of remembrance. A huge thank you is due to Staff Sergeant John Stras for being our guest speaker this year! His speech reflected on our wonderful Veterans and their sacrifices, but also focused on our future, and how we all can contribute to the growth of our nation. Thank you as well, to our student speakers, Jaylin Cucich and Garret Donovan!

Reminder to all community members - we would be most honored to have you attend our annual Veterans Day Program this coming Monday, November 11th at 10 AM! We will have wonderful music and many great speakers to help us recognize all Veterans of our Armed Forces. For those unable to attend, the event will also be livestreamed.

Our High School Student Council has taken time to plan a fun week for Halloween! Next week will feature dress up days, a costume day, and a student/staff Volleyball Tournament. Students can find the instructions to sign up and play in the tournament in their emails, and if they're lucky, they may have the chance to face off against a staff team!

Exciting news! We’re holding a mock election to engage our secondary students in the voting process! All students will vote during school on election day (November 5th). This engaging activity is designed to teach them the importance of voting and how to express their opinions responsibly. By simulating a real election, students will gain valuable insights into civic responsibility and the power of their voices. Thank you for your support as we empower our young leaders!

Thank you so much to the Nelson's for letting the middle school and high school STEAM students pick pumpkins for their next project! It was such a great time and a perfect fall day!
