LPA ECFE & PRESCHOOL
You are your child’s first teacher! ECFE and Preschool experiences enhance what you are already doing to help your child learn at home. At the same time, children benefit when they venture outside their home environments and into new territory. In the “outside world” they can encounter new people, have experiences in a new setting and learn about new topics. As children begin to explore the world away from Mom or Dad, they begin to develop a budding sense of self confidence and independence. In ECFE and Preschool we work to develop children's skills in building friendships, responsibility, positive self-esteem, and cooperation.
School Readiness Preschool classes are for children ages 3-5 years old. There are multiple classes available through the LPA School district, and all classes are led by licensed preschool teachers and support staff. Students are encouraged to work on skills including friendship, responsibility, independence, positive Self-Esteem, and cooperation. To get more information on our classes, and our registration link, please click on the red preschool bar.
LPA School District Community Census is for all LPA residents with children ages birth to 5 years old. If you have young children please fill out the census form to include each child in your household. The school census will be used only for school business and will be handled in a confidential manner. The information will help us in future planning for our ECFE and preschool programs. Please click the bar to see more information.
Minnesota Department of Education states that every child needs to be screened when starting school. We provide screening opportunities for families at LPA Elementary school each year. Please click the red Screening bar above for more information.
ECFE classes are for families with children ages 0-5 to attend together. Parents and children come to school together to interact and learn in a new environment. They can play, get messy, do projects, sing songs, listen to stories, and have a snack. We promote positive parent and child experiences through school engagement. Please click on the ECFE bar above to get more information or register for classes.
