As a part of our Publicize and Promote Campaign for 2009, chapter members designed a billboard which was placed on highway 10 between Lake Park and Audubon.

LPA Students Attend FCCLA Camp

  Seventy-five FCCLA members from around the state attended a two day leadership training at Saint Benedicts College in St. Joseph, MN on July 27-28.  They attended the first phase of Family Career and Community Leaders of America Dynamic Leadership Training.  Attending from LPA chapter were Region 6 President –Lydia Danielson, Vice President-Emily Sunram, and State Officer-Chloe Hanson.

LPA FCCLA Members Compete at Region 6 STAR Events

 

49 members of the LPA FCCLA chapter competed at the Region 6 STAR Events competition in Lake Park Audubon High School, on Monday, February 13th. Over 200 students from 13 different chapters from Region 6 competed in the Regional event. Some of the STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) event topics included: Share Our Strength, Little Dresses for Africa Service Project, Chapter Showcase Display, Families Acting for Community and Traffic Safety, Taking a Bite Out of Nutrition, Life Event Planning, Santas for Seniors, Advocacy, Applied Technology, Stop the Violence, Food Safety, Cancer Awareness, Preventing Dating Violence, Toy Safety, and Publicize and Promote. All 49 members received State Advancing Medals, which qualifies them to attend the State Convention in Bloomington on April 19-21st.
