To:  Gina Deibel and Friends Serving at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY from:  Everyone at Lake Park Audubon Schools

Valentines to Kosovo

Angie Carlson and Chloe Rieger, members of FCCLA, wanted to honor our troops who are serving overseas.  They approached Mary Regelstad and asked if they could do a Valentines project with her 5th grade technology students.  She suggested sending student made valentines to her neice in Kosovo, Gina Deibel, to share with other Fargo Guard members.  Gina, a former LPA Elementary student,  is serving on a peace keeping mission out of Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.  Students saw Gina's holiday video, studied maps of Kosovo, and created a three-dimensional valentine which looked like a geometric fortune cookie; so they added a good luck fortune along with some candy "hearts and hugs".

Along with the valentine package, 2nd and 5th grade students presented this patriotic music video under the direction of music teacher, Josh Dahl.  To all our troops serving "Over There",  we honor you, we thank you, and wish you a happy and safe valentines day!
